Around 3:30 Sunday afternoon, All 5 Monroeville Fire Companies were dispatched to Big Lots for a possible commercial structure fire. Engine 12 arrived with a large roll off dumpster on fire behind the business endangering the building and a trailer. Engine 12 pulled a 1 3/4”cross lay, hit the exterior fire, and advanced inside along with Truck 5’s crew. Additional arriving units finished off the dumpster fire. The fire was quickly contained with only minor extension to the building. Great job by all responding units.

Just before 1900 this evening, Monroeville Fire Companies were alerted for a house on fire on James Street, Engine 12 first due. Crews quickly extinguished a fire in the walls of the residence.
