and thank you for visiting Monroeville Volunteer Fire Department
#1.
The
municipality of Monroeville is located approximately 12
miles east of the City of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County,
Pennsylvania and covers approximately 20 square miles.
Monroeville is comprised of single and multi-residential,
retail, commercial, and industrial buildings. Populations
range from 70,000-100,000 daylight, and over 30,000 nighttime.
The Monroeville Fire Department is made up of five fire
stations, which provide fire, ems, various phases of
rescue services, and fire prevention / public education.
The Monroeville Fire Department responds to a wide variety
of incidents, both in Monroeville and also assisting
neighboring communities. Station 1 is the oldest fire
station in Monroeville, and began as Old Patton Twp.
Fire Co. 1,which has evolved into Monroeville Fire Company
#1 over 75 years. Station 1 provides 100% volunteer fire
and rescue services, and combination paid / volunteer
emergency medical services. Station 1 houses one 77' aerial quint, one heavy engine, a structural / technical rescue truck, two ALS/BLS
ambulances, light-duty squad, chief's car.
