Station 1 hosted a Pump Operations II class this week and was joined by members of Station 5. The class focused on advanced pump operations skills, including relay pumping, dual pumping, tandem pumping, supplying stand pipes, sprinklers, and elevated master streams. Attendees even brushed up on their high school algebra skills, performing friction and elevation loss calculations, as well as determining the flow through smooth bore nozzles based on the diameter and pressure. Personnel had a good time, despite one of the hottest October days on record for the hands on portion. Thanks to everyone who attended.
